Saints Take On Manhattan

Saints Take on Manhattan

With the MAAC tournament creeping around the corner, the Siena College Men's Lacrosse Team take on Manhattan College in their final regular season game. The Saints are undefeated in the MAAC conference and if they beat the Manhattan Jaspers they will clinch first place for the tournament.  I decided to take photos of this day because I wanted to look back after the game is see on the team looks when we are preparing for a game.  I loved how different emotions came out in each photograph.  I also wanted to give people an inside look of our team attitude on game day.

Conor "Heisman" Prunty

In the fall Conor Prunty was project to earn MAAC PLAYER OF THE Year. Conor has been started with a freshman and burst onto the scene his sophomore year when he scored 4 goals versus Johns Hopkins University. We seem him here making his way to the dining hall for team lunch.

Game Planning

In the striped polo is John Svec the head coach for the Saints.  He is in his third year and is looking for his first MAAC championship.  He sits with his fellow coaches discussing their strategy of how to attack and defend the opponent.

Lunch Time

There is are mixed emotions here with the senior always eating while the freshman wait their turn in line.

Viking Hungry

Max Bonsall from Rye, NY is very excited to eat his eggs.

Pack Your Bags

Here is a look inside the Saints locker room as they pack their bags for the trip to Manhattan.   This room is where the continuity between all of the saints come together.

Mee-Man

Brendan Meehan is one of our fifth year seniors and in my opinion is one of the best players on the team.  After suffering an injury filled season last year, Brendan decided to stay another year, and double majoring in Finance and Accounting.  We see him here using top patches to keep is quads from tightening up.

Ort

This is our team trainer Anthony Ortalano.  After retiring from RPI he decided to volunteer and join the Saints.  Best known as "Ort" he brings a ton of knowledge to both the players and the coaching staff.

  1. Great documentary on your team going to New York City. You had some great shots, especially the ones in the lockeroom. As an outsider we get a glimpse of what really happens in the lockeroom and how players prepare for games.

  2. Awesome documentary. I used to play lacrosse, and this project brought me back. It made me laugh, honestly. Each of these pictures show various parts of his pregame routine, something that many people will never understand. My routine was so bizarre. So, I appreciate the work he has done, giving viewers an inside eye to his pregame preparation.
